Encounter Pokémon that shine and glimmer thanks to the Terastal Phenomenon
Pokémon in the Paldea region have the ability to Terastallize to gain special power. When a Pokémon Terastallizes, a Tera Jewel appears above its head like a crown, and the Pokémon’s body glistens like a cut gemstone. Each Pokémon has a Tera Type that remains inactive until the Pokémon Terastallizes. For example, most Eevee will have a Normal Tera Type, but some other Eevee have a Flying Tera Type! When a Terastallized Pokémon uses a move that matches its Tera Type and at least one of its original types, the boost to that move’s power will be even greater! Terastallizing holds the key to victory or defeat in battles in the Paldea region.

The Paldea Region is home to a prestigious school where people from all sorts of regions come to hone their skills against each other, be it through academics or Pokémon battles. In Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, the name of the school, its emblem, its uniforms, and other details will differ depending on which game version you’re playing. Take classes with unique teachers who will show you what they know about battling, Pokémon biology, and more. Embark on an independent study called the Treasure Hunt to gain new experiences, meet new people, and find your very own treasure.
Features
- The packaged version includes 1 physical Pokémon Scarlet game and 1 physical Pokémon Violet game. If you purchase either the physical or digital double pack, you will receive a 200 Poké Ball™ bonus via download codes* that can be entered in the Mystery Gift** feature in your game!
- **The Mystery Gift option can be found within the Poké Portal menu option in the X menu after you unlock the feature in the Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet game. (This occurs after about 1 to 1.5 hours of gameplay, though individual gameplay time may vary.) An internet connection and a Nintendo Account is required to redeem the items in game. A Nintendo Switch Online membership is not required. Each item can only be redeemed once.
- Important: The downloadable version of this double pack includes digital versions of both the Pokémon Scarlet game and the Pokémon Violet game, and both games will be automatically downloaded to the system tied to the Nintendo Account that made the purchase. A separate download code for one of these games will not be provided with the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet Double Pack purchase.
